That long chain of emails ...

Below are the screen captures of that long chain of emails between Phandeluys' son and Chinese/Taiwanese psychopath and habitual liar Ya-Chang Robert Lin. Towards the end of the chain, my friend had to intervene on her son's behalf.

What kind of father does not even know when his child's school starts?

Can you imagine trying to have a conversational dialogue with this psychopath when he does not like what you have to say and/or point out facts that may embarrass him?

Anyone interested in obtaining a medical records of this psychopath, email me. There is an intact copy showing his diagnosis of HepB on Phandeluys' old drive that she threw out.

Thanks, J. for the links to these email.

About this blog

Excepting this introduction and what are—and will be—posted after March 2015, this blog mirrored a now out-of-commission blog, http://ya-chang-lin.blogspot.com, which was taken down on October 21, 2013 by its author Phandeluys Truong.

The author's original contents and supporting documents were captured by multiple means from the above-mentioned blog while it was alive and active. There may have been a glitch here and there that prevented me from downloading the complete blog as it had existed. Thus, readers familiar with the original blog may find a few missing posts and/or comments. Those postings that I was able to grab and preserve in their entirety are reposted here under my name, however, all rights remain that of the original author.

This series of posts documents the fraudulent, sometimes criminal, and frequent unethical/immoral activities of Ya-Chang Robert Lin, a Taiwanese native of mainland Chinese parentage, who defrauded a naturalized US citizen, Phandeluys Truong, into a marriage that had been his shield against USCIS for his intentional violations of immigration law:

as a nonimmigrant F-1 student, Ya-Chang Robert Lin had willfully operated an international students recruiting business without prior work authorization from the then United States Immigration and Naturalization Service;

as President of said business, Ya-Chang Robert Lin had knowingly helped both mainland Chinese and Taiwanese students to evade military drafts in their countries by facilitating their applications to study in the US and abroad;

as President of said business, Ya-Chang Robert Lin had knowingly helped both mainland Chinese and Taiwanese students looking to enter the United States with the intention of gaining permanent US resident status under the pretense of studying;

as President of said business, Ya-Chang Robert Lin had purposely evaded paying taxes on the commissions received from it and failed to report the earned income to the IRS by having the payments wired back to Taiwan to his mother Chang Hsueh;

Ya-Chang Robert Lin had applied for reinstatement of his F-1 or student status and a change of status, while knowingly withheld the preceding facts on his own applications for permanent resident and citizenship in the United States.

And those are just the tip of the iceberg. Ya-Chang Robert Lin had been employed at AAFES or The Exchange headquarter in Dallas, Texas as an information technology auditor, where he managed to steal—by downloading to CDs that he kept in his personal possession while abiding for time and opportunities to "do business" in Taiwan and/or China—thousands of his colleagues’ Social Security numbers and personnel files while working on one of its HR projects. The HR data on one of these projects became the basis for an academic paper, speaking proposal for ISACA that this conman was planning to present in collusion with this boss [who probably had no idea he was being taken advantage of and has taken leave of AAFES or The Exchange to take care of his ailing mother], and a consulting business he was "collaborating with " [more like conning other people into developing and fronting for him].

Ya-Chang Robert Lin is a reprobate with a seared conscience. Lacking normal capacity for empathy, remorse, and reciprocation of good will, he is addicted to lying, cheating, and stealing for the pure pleasures derived from being able to get away with it. Because he is such a good liar—so charming and well versed in manipulation techniques and acting skills—it is hard to distinguish him from reprobates.

Ya-Chang Robert Lin was able to dupe some of the smart people in federal government [AAFES or The Exchange, USCIS, ICE, and DHS], higher education [Fort Hays State University and Navarro College], and information technology auditing and security [ACFE and ISACA]. Among his legacy: A son who refused any connection with him and wished that he were dead.

You're right, Kid: The system is broken [and has been for a long time]

Today is my personal day off so I am using it to filter through this mass of emails that a devoted reader sent in late last night.

Here is one email from Phandeluys’ son to The Jerk. It is one in a long chain of emails sent between him and the psychopath until habitual liar Ya-Chang Robert Lin was caught in a lie he could not explain without further entanglement … silence and nonresponsiveness are a few of this Chinese/Taiwanese psychopath’s patterns of “response” when caught with a lie just barely escaping his throat and in the gutter. The other is outright deniability despite evidences to the contrary.

I will post that chain of emails here later in the day; now, I am off to catch a glimpse of my friend at her usual haunt.

Phandeluys' response to Chinese/Taiwanese psychopath Ya-Chang Robert Lin's Motion in Limine

My friend’s hearing for a new trial is on Wednesday … Starting today, I am releasing by posting all of Phandeluys’ court filings and legal responses, beginning with her written response to Chinese/Taiwanese psychopath Ya-Chang Robert Lin’s Motion in Limine, https://drive.google.com/file/d/0B2qBXrITISLkajNWamVULVpZeHM/view?usp=sharing

Keep in mind that Phandeluys is pro se and has zero training and experience in the legal field.

Psychopath Ya-Chang Robert Lin's sales pitch

Before there was a 15-minute sales pitch on oneself, there was Chinese/Taiwanese psychopath Ya-Chang Robert Lin’s pitch to Phandeluys and her mother … beware as he will use the same old theme and techniques again in his duplicity.

See Ms. Tran's affidavit at https://drive.google.com/file/d/0B2qBXrITISLkcGp3cnpNNFdKTnM/view?usp=sharing The notarized copy was filed with the district clerk in Denton County court.

Hydra ... Noctua

My friend and her partner is traveling a deux, yet again … I wish they would stay here for two uninterrupted weeks so I can pin down the techniques and patterns of this Merengue and Bachata choreography they are teaching … it would be a real indulgence, too, if I can dance this complete routine with Phandeluys just once. One time, that is all I am asking for. One time to openly flirt with her and see her reactions during a dance. I am betting against myself to see if I can break open her smile into a laughter for more than a few seconds.

Last night’s classes ended at midnight. Those who wanted to and could, stayed. Surprisingly, we did not lose any students. I stayed but ended up exhausted, mentally and physically, toward the end. Phandeluys and her partner, however, became more energetic, creative and animated as the night enveloped us … they must be creatively driven night owls with strong work ethics. Anyway, I am happy they allowed us to videotape the techniques, patterns and choreography for personal review and private study … after three hours into the five-hour session, my overloaded brain stopped digesting their explications and demonstrations, regardless of how simple and short the informational bytes were.

Today, the students are invited to go down to a local shelter to help Phandeluys and her partner cook a meal for a few dozen people. It is not eradicating world hunger or anything that lofty but man, their Saturday plan and gesture touch me deeply; it is going to be an electric day of great lucidity … I really wanted to reach out and hug her.

Stay tune, and until next post,

In The Best Interest of The Child? A teenager's view, part 2

2. Admonishing child for calling his abuser "the movant" instead of "my father" under the assumption that child is being "disrespectful," and demanding that child addresses his abuser as his father because the court has not heard evidence of abuses from movant against child but only of how the movant loves and misses child and is doing everything he can to be reunited with child.

Perhaps the court needs to question its own assumptions when arriving at its conclusions and passing its judgments. When attorney for movant continuously objected to any potential testimony of abuses from child and the court continuously sustained the objections, how can evidences of emotional, psychological and physical abuses against child be entered on the records for the court to consider? Might there not been legitimate reasons why child refuses to address movant as his father? Among my online friends, the kids I know who call their parents by monikers other than "mom" and "dad" and "father" and "mother" are those who have been abused and are seeking ways to express their mockery and contempt of the person and situation they are in. I am not a kid who lacks respect, morals, ethics, manners, common sense, and logic; my mother, grandmother and uncle teach me well. I simply choose to call my abuser by what he is and not by a traditional title that he hasn't earned and fails to merit.

I do not know if there is a state law that requires minors to address their parents as "my mother" and "my father" but I can say that I will not be addressing The Jerk as my father any time soon, if ever. The language and words we use affect our frame of reference—this much I learned from my mother so that I am always careful about how I word my thoughts and feelings. I am being more than generous and conciliatory when I called my abuser "Mr. Lin." There is a certain standard and expectation I require from a father, and my abuser has never once fulfilled my needs of a father. In truth, he has negated everything great about fatherhood for me; because of my experience with him, I do not want to have children, my own or those of others. Why pass forward this essentially warped genetic materials of the Chang-Lin clan to an innocent? Even within myself, I am conscious of that other side of me that is fundamentally dishonest—my first instinct in almost all situation is to be lazy, take short cut, lie, cheat, steal and manipulate with the knowledge that I have what it takes to be successful at it—after all, my abuser has done it all his life and never once got caught by the systems that he has been gaming and the people that he has been conning. It is a struggle to constantly be on guard against those aspects of my character from taking over my mind and acting on what I know are wrongful and immoral intent. But staying conscious, I must. I don't want to live my life only to look backward with regrets for the things I have done. And being around my mother and grandmother and uncle helps; they anchor and steer me in the right direction.

Now, my mother, being a good and faithful person that she is, did explain that perhaps the court thought I had been intentionally "alienated" from The Jerk by her and her family. A clarification then: If I had been alienated from The Jerk, the fault lies with The Jerk himself for all those vicious words and explosive acts of abuses he had leveled against me throughout my childhood while publicly donning the role of devoted and caring father and spouting the principles and values that Confucius morality dictates in the conduct of life and of society. As I wrote before, neither my mother nor my grandmother nor my uncle wants anything to do with The Jerk. We don't talk about him unless I raise up the topic and even then, they smile politely and ask me questions so that I can arrive at my own conclusion and understanding. The fact that I refer to The Jerk as "the movant" came from conversations between my mother and grandmother where they used that term in reference to him. That and other legal terminologies such as "petitioner" and "respondent," depending on the motion, pleading or filing under their discussion.

Nos. 3 and 4 will be reposted here in the next few days.

In The Best Interest of The Child? A teenager's view

Phandeluys' son shared another essay ... I read it last night, hesitated about reposting it here but ultimately, I think his voice needs to be heard.

My mom hates talking about The Jerk and the court case but if I asked anything about him and what is going on, she is always honest with me in describing the facts of a situation without burdening me with her feelings and emotions. Sometimes I wish she would so I can feel and understand what it is that she goes through. I hate being in the dark when I know something is up and about and around and everyone is sidestepping. It makes me anxious, and leaves me vulnerable and unprepared to deal with whatever that is going to happen. I do not care what the experts, including the court and children protective service, say about the "best interest of the child." That concept sounds so nice and warm but in reality is fuzzy and icky as a ball of cat hair.

So, what exactly is in the "best interest of the child?" Let me count the ways:

1. Not allowing child to testify to acts of mental, emotional and physical abuse against him from a person the court has seen fit to assign as the child's "guardian" because these acts occurred more than two years ago. When did patterns of abuse become irrelevant to potential future behavior? If there has not been any act of abuse in the last two years, it is because child has refused all interactions, including visitation and possession, with his abuser since the latter abandoned him in a department store for more than an hour on a shopping trip. Just because a thief lacked the opportunity to steal does not mean he will not when given the chance. So I am supposed to give my abuser a chance to hurt me behind close doors and away from prying eyes under the guise of "Asian way of disciplining" because my abuser got on the stand and lied about how much he misses and loves me and how much he wants a "second chance" to prove his caring devotion to me.

Hm, thanks, but no thank you. I know my abuser first hand and through having been a witness to his abusive words and acts against my mother, no one, including the "impartial" court is going to make me doubt my own eyes and ears and the physical pains I had suffered through to give this jerk another chance to "bond" with me. I refuse to be nice and to take things lying down. At the minimum, I am going to give back as good as I get, then face the system that has blatantly ignored my safety issues and handed me over to my abuser.

I will republish the rest of his essay in the posts to follow, so

Stay tune.

he had applied for reinstatement of his F-1 or student status and a change of status, while knowingly withheld the preceding facts on his own applications for permanent resident and citizenship in the United States.

The HR data on one of these projects became the basis for an academic paper, speaking proposal for ISACA, and a consulting business he was "collaborating with " [more like conning other people into developing and fronting for him].

Ya-Chang Robert Lin was able to dupe some of the smart people in federal government, higher education, and information technology auditing and security. Among his legacy: A son who refused any connection with him and wished that he were dead.

An almost and soon-to-be published teenaged writer

Phandeluys’ son came by the studio tonight to visit with her. He brought celebratory news with him: his book series is being considered by two of the major e-book publishers for publication and distribution ... Her partner cancelled advance Merengue and Bachata choreography class so they both can spend time with him.

When the class asked if he is excited, he said, “Yeah, I guessed I should be, but this writing project has been a long time in coming. I’m happy to see its completion and more excited about the opportunities to record my experience, express my ideas, and to team up with several people who play key roles in creating an outstanding platform for teenagers like me around the world to share our insights with the public; my mom being one of those people with her cheerful attitude and constant encouragement."

Wow. Good speech and an even better attitude. Like I always tell my colleagues: If you know you have something to offer, go deliver. It seems that he does and delivery is on its way. I am happy and excited for him … May he continues to create a vision for himself and does all in his power to achieve it while surrounded by those who love and watch over him.

I will resume exposing Chinese/Taiwanese psychopath Ya-Chang Robert Lin and his easy lies in the next posts, so

Stay tune,

as a nonimmigrant F-1 student, he had willfully operated an international students recruiting business without prior work authorization from the then United States Immigration and Naturalization Service;

as President of said business, he had knowingly helped both mainland Chinese and Taiwanese students to evade military drafts in their countries by facilitating their applications to study in the US and abroad;

Danse Macabre

Came to class 45 minutes early, hoping to engage Phandeluys in a discussion about a book I saw her reading before she left for Marina del Rey but instead caught my friend and her partner in a seven-minute Viennese Waltz to Camille Saint-Saëns’s Danse Macabre that was followed by a waltz dance of love to Beethoven’s Moonlight Sonata … gotta love their sense of wry humor and wit, and repertoire of music.

Almost wished they would teach the Viennese Waltz again … however I doubt any of us would do their choreography justice as the majority of us are still struggling with the advance techniques that were deconstructed, demonstrated and taught in those last several class sessions. To master the footwork and techniques ourselves is one thing, but to communicate them in our lead so that our partners follow and mirror our intentions while incorporating their own visions … well, that takes more than a temporary partnership that is formed for the mere pleasure of learning and practicing ballroom dancing. Ah, I envy my friend and her partner the intricacy of their relationship and that colorful, fascinating chemistry they have with each other while I grow leerier of the female students who come to classes looking for that “perfect man” for their dancing journey. How shallow and boringly egocentric.

As Phandeluys and her partner once said, You are not an extra in someone else’s life, and neither is someone else an extra in yours. Play fairly. Be honest. Dancing is another aspect of life, like making love, laughing, learning, working, exploring—find a partner with whom you can share your essential passions, along with the confidence to initiate, endure and evolve then create and build from there … And if your essential passion is only ballroom dancing and your underlying reason for partnership is to score someone to partner with in dancing, then we wish you good luck [finding someone who] wants to be used in that way ...

Welcome back, my friend!

Phandeluys and her partner came back a day earlier than was anticipated; saw them in the studio last night after 10. She was anxious and worry about the hearing on motion for sealing court records that was scheduled for 11 that morning. Even though she had cut short her interview, and she and her partner took turn driving, she did not make the hearing … She is uncertain about the ruling and questions whether her absence might have negatively affected it …

Like her partner, I felt for my friend and wanted to reach out to comfort her.  Alas, that is not my position ... And after 30 minutes of warmup for the practicum, she got back into the rhythm of the American Meringue and began mirroring her partner beat-by-beat and step-by-step.

They are resuming their classes with Meringue in combination with Bachata … surprising choices that are reflective of their relationship. I cannot wait until tomorrow for the lessons to start.

Stay tune, and until next post,

Phandeluys' Response to Motion to Seal Court Records

My friend is not one to simply relax and take things as they are, even while she is on a mini work-vacation with her partner in Marina del Rey and Venice Beach … Happy to know she had been working on her response to Chinese/Taiwanese psychopath’s motion to seal court records.

A reader forwarded a copy of my friend’s written response [see it here at https://drive.google.com/file/d/0B2qBXrITISLka0IxUEZ5VFJHcmM/view?usp=sharing] with an assurance that this copy is the exact duplicate of the one that was submitted to court, even though it is not date- and time- stamped.

I hope Phandeluys did not spend too many hours in a California law library researching/reading/writing … I wonder which library?

Elation! Coming soon, I hope

These last few weeks have been the muggiest days of my life without my friend … Oh, I visited the studio every night to practice my routines and to get a whiff of that scent of gardenia and jasmine that seemed to exude and linger still from when Phandeluys and her partner were here practicing and teaching.

I am sensitive to odor, and it seemed to me she was exuding a tantalizing perfume that was light, fragrant, with an after-scent, the way some wines have an after-taste. Phandeluys’ after-scent was deep and exotic … very stirring … Reminds me of Givenchy’s Organza, the reformulation, that is … I cannot help thinking of freshly cleaned yet newly rumpled sheets and … wet teeth. Maybe it is just me.

My friend is resuming dancesport classes next Monday, after returning from a mini work-vacation while getting up to date on digital marketing [her] and beating writer’s block [him].

I can hardly wait, even though I know better to keep my distance away from her.

Stay tune, and until next post,
