To those of you who have sent me boxes of chocolates and a pair or two of solid, bangle-style jade, and jade-and-ivory bracelets, I thank you most graciously for your gestures of friendship and support. The mouth-watering treats, am keeping; the genuine and lovely bracelets will be returned in their original wrappings to the generous gifters.
