Just finished installing and configuring nginx, a free open source web server written by Igor Sysoev, a Russian software engineer. Love it yet I am still keeping Apache on my old desktop, along with VirtualBox, the more better to experiment, compare, learn and share with my peers.
I love the flexibility to set up and run anything web-related at all; the freedom to tinker with operating systems and the web server side of the system is a fantastic learning opportunity. Plus, it is a lesson I can share with my fifteen-year-old son ... There is almost no feeling comparable to seeing him learning and growing more confident in himself and his ability, his knowledge and his values.
Got to go and prepare for the day; been awake for the last 42 hours with this latest love ...
